Ryan Yardley retook the Porsche Carrera Cup North America Pro class points lead with his second win of the season in Saturday’s penultimate round of the 2025 campaign at Circuit of The Americas.
The Kiwi took his No. 78 Topp Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a flag-to-flag victory over Kellymoss driver Aaron Jeansonne, which ended under yellow following a late-race accident by Scott Blind.
The Masters class champion-elect spun in the exit of the Esses in his No. 45 Ruckus Racing Porsche, resulting in barrier damage, ending the 35-minute scheduled contest early.
Yardley, who tied Riley Dickinson for the points lead with his pole for Race 1, saw him provisionally extend his advantage to ten points over the 2023 series champion, who finished third on Saturday.
Dickinson, who started fourth on the grid, got past the No. 77 Topp Porsche of Tyler Maxson early, who faded to a fifth place finish.
The No. 9 JDX Racing Porsche of Zachary Vanier finished fourth.
Alan Metni claimed the Pro-Am class win his No. 99 Kellymoss Porsche, clawing back points on championship leader JP Martinez, who finished second.
Masters class race honors went to the No. 13 Kellymoss entry of Todd Parriott after Blind’s late-race accident.
Blind had clinched the Masters title several races ago.
The season-ending Race 2 is set for Sunday at 11 a.m. CST with live coverage on Peacock, IMSA’s YouTube channel and PorscheCarreraCup.us.
