Inter Europol Competition has announced its driver lineup for the forthcoming Asian Le Mans Series season, revealing Peugeot FIA World Endurance Championship driver Nick Cassidy will join the lineup for its LMP2 entry in next month’s Sepang opener.

Cassidy will share the Polish outfit’s No. 43 Oreca 07 Gibson with Bronze-rated Georgios Kolovos as well as NTT IndyCar Series racer Nolan Siegel for the two four-hour races at the Malaysian track on Dec. 13-14.

Bijoy Garg, who was listed together with Kolovos against the No. 43 entry when the full-season entry list was revealed back in September, will join the Greek driver and Siegel for the remaining double-headers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in February.

For Cassidy, it will will mark his first outing in LMP2 machinery since the 2019/20 Asian Le Mans Series season, when he contested three races for Eurasia Motorsport in a Ligier JS P217 Gibson, scoring a best finish of fourth at Buriram.

“We are delighted to be bringing an LMP2 to the Asian series alongside our LMP3 entry this year, having only competed in LMP3 last season,” said Inter Europol team manager Sascha Fassbender.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Georgios to the team; he will be a strong addition as the Bronze-rated driver, having impressed us during off-season testing. Adding Nolan and Nick brings two big stars into the lineup, and they will undoubtedly shine.

“Bijoy is also coming back to the team, and we have enjoyed success together in the IMSA championship, so it will be great to welcome him again when he joins us in the Middle East.

“There’s no doubt that the LMP2 category is going to be extremely competitive this year, so we know we will need to be at our best.”

Siegel previously drove for Inter Europol in the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series season, and also made a sole outing in the Silverstone round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup for the team last year after his IndyCar season concluded.

“I am excited to join Inter Europol again for the Asian Le Mans Series,” said Siegel. “The first LMP2 experience of my career was with this team, and we were fighting for the championship then, so I’m looking forward to coming back and finishing the job!”

Inter Europol’s LMP3 lineup has also been revealed, with Jimmy Chou, Henry Cubides Olarte and Alex Bukhantsov sharing the team’s No. 13 Ligier JS P325 Toyota.

Bukhantsov moves across after contesting the 2024/25 campaign with Graff Racing.
