Former European Le Mans Series champion James Allen will continue with Nielsen Racing in the category this year, partnering the already-announced Alex Quinn and Kriton Lendoudis in the team’s Pro-Am No. 27 Oreca 07 Gibson.

Allen, 29, took the outright ELMS title in 2023 when competing with Algarve Pro Racing and was a race winner in the Pro-Am ranks with Nielsen last year en route to finishing eighth in the class standings when sharing with Sergio Sette Camara.

Allen is an experienced hand in LMP2, having competed in the machinery every year since 2017, when he graduated from single-seaters.

He will now team up with Quinn and Lendoudis, who have finished runner-up in the ELMS LMP2 Pro-Am table in each of the past two years.

“With a proven race winner alongside one of the most consistent Pro-Am pairings on the grid, Nielsen Racing heads into its fifth year in LMP2 Pro-Am targeting the championship,” read a team statement.

Nielsen is one of the small number of LMP2 squads yet to confirm its full ELMS lineup for this year, with only Edward Pearson announced so far at the wheel of the sister No. 24 entry.
