Beechdean AMR is set to expand into the GTE ranks, with the British squad revealing plans to run an Aston Martin Vantage in a to-be-determined number of races this year.
The Andrew Howard-owned operation, known for its success in the British GT Championship with a GT3-spec Aston, took part in several Blancpain GT Series rounds last year, including the final two Blancpain Sprint Series races of the season.
While the 2013 British GT Champion is expected to return to the highly competitive domestic series, the remainder of the team’s program is set to be announced by the end of the month.
According to Howard, it’s likely to include at least one European Le Mans Series round with a GTE-spec Aston (pictured above), while a partial-season effort in the FIA World Endurance Championship and trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans may also not be ruled out, pending entry.
