Ferrari FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar driver Antonio Fuoco will make his European Le Mans Series debut this year after adding an LMP2 program with AF Corse to his campaign.
The Italian made his first LMP2 appearance in four years when he raced a Cetilar-badged AF Corse-run Oreca 07 Gibson in the Asian Le Mans Series during the winter.
Fuoco took two wins alongside Charles Milesi and Roberto Lacorte to finish runner-up in the standings and is now planning more LMP2 action in Europe.
Fuoco has regularly raced for AF Corse in a variety of other categories alongside his main WEC focus, but this marks the first time that he has tackled a full season in LMP2 machinery.
He completes the lineup for the No. 83 AF Oreca alongside the continuing Matthieu Vaxiviere and Francois Perrodo, that pair finishing fourth in last season’s LMP2 Pro-Am standings when sharing with Alessio Rovera.
However, both Perrodo and Vaxiviere won the class for AF in each of the previous two campaigns.
