Nic Minassian has been named IDEC Sport Racing’s new Sporting and Operations Director, as part of the team’s ramped up plans for 2018 that includes a second LMP2 entry.

The former Peugeot factory driver joins the Patrice Lafargue-owned squad after a one-year stint with DragonSpeed, where he held a similar position.

“First, I would like to thank Elton [Julian] and the entire DragonSpeed team for this fantastic year with them,” Minassian said. “I wish them much more success.

“I am entering a new challenge at IDEC SPORT, where I’m joining a dynamic and talented team, with quality projects for the next season. Because of the team’s ambition, the experience of its past and mine, we will do our very best to that the team is at its best.”

The team is targeting a two-car LMP2 entry in the European Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans next year, alongside a return to the 24H Series with a GT3 car.
