A new outfit under the name Racing Team Nederland will take to the European Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017, with an experienced driver lineup including Jan Lammers and Rubens Barrichello.

The new Dallara LMP2 car will be driven by ex-Formula 1 driver Barrichello and former Le Mans winner Lammers, who join team boss Frits van Eerd behind the wheel.

It will mark Barrichello’s LMP2 debut, after having previous starts in DP machinery for a variety of teams, most recently in this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with Wayne Taylor Racing.

The team completed a test at Magny-Cours with the new Dallara last week. The Italian manufacturer’s 2017 LMP2 car is yet to be officially revealed but is documented in the below video.

More details about the program are expected in the coming weeks.
