The FIA World Endurance Championship has issued a provisional full-season entry list for the 2026 season featuring 35 cars.
Revealed on Monday, the list features one fewer car than this year’s championship, owing to the withdrawal of all three Porsche 963s that were in the Hypercar class, offset by the arrival of two Genesis Magma Racing entries in the top class.
Proton Competition announced last Friday that efforts to field two 963s in the absence of the works Porsche Penske Motorsport outfit had failed, also closing the door on the Weissach marque being represented in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It means the grid will feature 17 cars in Hypercar as Genesis joins Ferrari, Toyota, Cadillac, Alpine, BMW, Peugeot and Aston Martin with two-car entries, boosted by a single non-factory entry, the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P.
As revealed by Genesis last week, the two GMR-001s will carry No. 17 and No. 19 for the Hyundai-owned luxury marque’s debut season.
Only five cars, the two Alpine A424s, the two Peugeot 9X8s and the No. 83 Ferrari, do not yet have complete lineups in the Hypercar class.
Alpine has new signing Antonio Felix da Costa and Frederic Makowiecki listed in its No. 35 and No. 36 cars respectively, but has yet to name its full 2026 driver roster following the departures of Mick Schumacher and Paul-Loup Chatin.
Peugeot has named its full lineup, which includes newcomers Nick Cassidy and Theo Pourchaire, but has yet to announce exact combinations, with only Paul di Resta (car No. 93) and Loic Duval (No. 94) being named on the entry list.
AF Corse has not yet revealed co-drivers for Ferrari factory driver Yifei Ye in the No. 83 car.
In the LMGT3 class, one significant change is Heart of Racing Team expanding to a second Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, effectively replacing Racing Spirit of Leman, which departs the WEC after a single season.
It means that all nine manufacturers present in the LMGT3 class now have two cars operated under the same banner for the first time.
Garage 59 also replaces United Autosports as McLaren’s service provider, and revealed the full driver lineups for its two 720S GT3 Evos on Monday.
One of TF Sport’s two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R entries has been renamed ‘Racing Team Turkey by TF’ a significant hint that Salih Yoluc is set to join the team.
Charlie Eastwood is the only driver listed in the renumbered No. 34 Corvette, with factory driver Nicky Catsburg, who is named for the No. 33 car, has been confirmed as Genesis-bound Dani Juncadella’s replacement in that car.
While unconfirmed, the No. 33 Corvette is expected to be also driven by Ben Keating and Jonny Edgar.
Of note, Catsburg is set to miss both the 6 Hours of Imola and 6 Hours of Sao Paulo due to his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship commitments with Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports.
AF Corse has named full lineups for its pair of Ferrari 296 GT3s, which have the exact same combinations as this year — putting an end to speculation that Francois Heriau could be set for a move to Manthey.
Manthey, which announced its nominated drivers of Ayhancan Guven and Richard Lietz on Monday, are listed under ‘Manthey DK Engineering’ and ‘The Bend Manthey’, essentially confirming James Cottingham (No. 91) and Yasser Shahin (No. 92) to the cars.
It would mark Shahin’s return to the German squad after spending the 2025 season with Team WRT.
Iron Lynx was the only other team to name its full lineups in LMGT3 upon the publication of the entry list.
