Both Alpine and Cadillac have conducted tests this week in advance of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
The French manufacturer was present at Paul Ricard for a two-day outing that wraps up today, while Cadillac’s three IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship entries were testing at Circuit of The Americas on Monday and Tuesday to gather data for fellow V-Series.R entrant Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA ahead of next year’s Lone Star Le Mans event.
Sportscar365 understands that Alpine ran its 2025-spec aero on Thursday, as part of a back-to-back comparison with its updated package that’s due to take to the track today.
Photos from the second and final day of the test at Paul Ricard have yet to surface. Alpine is due to re-visit the newly FIA-mandated Windshear wind tunnel later this month for final homologation.
Cadillac, on the other hand, saw its new-look LMDh car break cover in last month’s IMSA-sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway, also run by Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing.
Of note, sports car-turned NASCAR rising star Connor Zilisch, who is expected to complete Action Express’ lineup for next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, turned laps in the No. 31 Cadillac during the test, in what marked the 19-year-old’s second outing in the car.
It’s understood that Cadillac elected to test at COTA because of unused manufacturer test days that were due to expire at the end of the year.
Toyota, with its updated GR010 Hybrid and Heart of Racing Team’s Aston Martin Valkyries, which is not set to feature any Evo jokers for 2026, are both scheduled to test at Lusail International Circuit on Dec. 10-12, in what would mark the final scheduled on-track testing for the year.
