The pair of GTE-Pro class Aston Martin Vantage GTE cars have been hit with a Balance of Performance adjustment ahead of this weekend’s Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas.

The Astons will run with a 0.4mm smaller air restrictor (29.8 to 29.4mm x2), following a dominant performance in the last FIA World Endurance Championship race in Mexico City, which saw Darren Turner and Richie Stanaway claim class victory.

The FIA Endurance Committee also confirmed Tuesday a 10kg weight break for the GTE-Am class Corvette C7.R, bringing the Larbre Competition entry down to a minimum weight of 1238 kg.

No other changes have been made to GTE-Pro or GTE-Am class cars heading into Saturday’s sixth round of the season.

Official track action at COTA gets underway with a pair of Free Practice sessions on Thursday.
