As soon as the Roar Before the Rolex 24 was completed, Delta-ADR team principal Simon Dowson made a long journey to get to Bahrain, where both ORECA 03 Nissans remained at the end of the final meeting of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship season.

Delta-ADR will become Millennium Racing in 2014, with two ORECA 03 Nissans planned for the coming season of the FIA WEC. (en Français)

The team has three days of testing underway in Bahrain, but no driving took place yesterday due to heavy rain. Running in January in Bahrain often presents a very cold track.

Oliver Turvey, Stefan Johansson and Fabien Giroix are on hand and are testing Dunlop’s new 2014 tires. Turvey, who ran successfully in the European Le Mans Series last year at Jota Sport, has been the most active on track in the No. 26 G-Drive colors.

Johansson and Giroix have come directly from Daytona, where they took part in the Roar Before the Rolex 24 in one of the two Action Express Racing Corvette Daytona Prototypes, also with the Millennium branding.

For the FIA WEC season, Giroix will drive one of the two ORECAs and Johansson the other. Both are Silver-rated drivers.

John Martin is close to signing a deal with the team, while Mike Conway will not be back as he left to become the test and reserve driver for Toyota Racing.
