The first footage of Ford’s new Mustang GT3 has emerged from this week’s test at Sebring International Raceway.
Ford CEO Jim Farley tweeted a video of the car lapping the 3.7-mile circuit on Tuesday, in what’s understood to have been the opening day of a multi-day test.
The footage was followed up on Wednesday by Ford’s publication of newly released images of the vehicle in action.
Powered by a 5.0-liter M-Sport-tuned Coyote V8 engine, the Multimatic-built car has joined Chevrolet in testing its new-for-2024 GT3 challengers at Sebring this week, alongside Toyota’s GR010 Hybrid.
Sportscar365 understands it marks the first significant on-track test for the Mustang GT3, which has yet to be officially presented.
