Rahel Frey will return to the Iron Dames’ FIA World Endurance Championship lineup from the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps onwards, replacing Doriane Pin for all rounds except the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Swiss racer will partner up with Sarah Bovy and Michelle Gatting aboard the No. 83 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 beginning at next month’s six-hour race at Spa.

Pin will then make her final race appearance aboard the car for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June before Frey steps back in for the four flyaway races at Sao Paulo, COTA, Fuji and Bahrain.

In the process, she will reform the lineup that took Iron Dames to a breakthrough GTE-Am class victory in last year’s 8 Hours of Bahrain.

Pin, meanwhile, is stepping away from the WEC lineup to focus on her expanding commitments in single seater racing.

In addition to her program in F1 Academy as a Mercedes-AMG junior, Iron Dames announced on Thursday that she will be joining Marta Garcia as part of a two-car effort in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The new program means that four out of the remaining five WEC races outside Le Mans now clash with one of the two championships.

In addition to a date conflict between the 6H Spa and the FRECA round at Hockenheim, further clashes exist with the WEC rounds at Interlagos and Fuji, while WEC’s Bahrain finale falls on the same weekend as the penultimate F1 Academy weekend at Qatar’s Lusail International Circuit.

Pin, Gatting and Frey finished eighth in the LMGT3 class during WEC’s season opener at the same circuit last month.
