Ferdinand Habsburg will remain with Alpine for a third consecutive season in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year.

Habsburg was part of the crew that gave the Alpine A424 its first WEC victory last year at Fuji alongside Paul-Loup Chatin and Charles Milesi.

He has now become the fourth driver announced as part of Alpine’s refreshed 2026 lineup – following new signings Antonio Felix da Costa and Victor Martins, as well as the continuing Frederic Makowiecki – although it is yet to be confirmed which of the pair of A424s Habsburg will pilot.

“I love racing with Alpine, and now that I know what it feels like to win with the brand, the excitement is all the higher!” said Habsburg.

Team principal Philippe Sinault described Habsburg as “the perfect embodiment of the endurance driver” and was therefore keen for the 28-year-old to remain at the squad.

“He has genuine race intelligence, he understands situations instinctively, whether at the start of a race or in the middle of the night at Le Mans, and he knows how to adapt his driving accordingly,” Sinault added.

“He is also an exceptional team player who always puts the team’s interests first, with a unifying mindset and an incredibly infectious smile.

“He will be one of our key strengths for this new campaign, and I am both proud and delighted to be able to count on him for his third season with the team.”
