Andrea Hidalgo has replaced Jessica Dane as Corvette Racing’s latest program manager, GM Motorsports announced on Tuesday.

Hidalgo, who was most recently part of GM’s performance racing center as a senior race engine calibration, development and track support engineer for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R program, becomes the third different Corvette Racing program manager in as many years.

Dane replaced Christie Bagne at the end of 2024 following her and GM sports car program manager Laura Wontrop Klauser’s exits from the motorsport department.

Sportscar365 understands that Dane, the daughter of Triple Eight Race Engineering co-founder Roland Dane, is no longer with GM altogether.

In her most recent role, Hidalgo worked as a trackside support engineer for TF Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship the last two seasons as well as selected European Le Mans Series races last year.

She also led controls development and implementation efforts for Corvette customer teams as part of the manufacturer’s work toward meeting FIA GT3 engine regulations.

Prior to that, Hidalgo spent a number of years as part of the Corvette Racing factory program in the C8.R era.

Her technical background also includes expertise in the areas of combustion, drivability, aftertreatment, diagnostics and transmission development dating back to 2008 – first as an intern and then part of the GM production team in 2010.

She holds a Master of Engineering in global manufacturing and automotive engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University in New York State, where she was an active member of the Stony Brook Motorsports SAE Baja team.

Her first official appointment in the new role will be this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway.
