Darren Leung will return to Team WRT’s FIA World Endurance Championship LMGT3 lineup after a year away, the Belgian squad has confirmed.

Leung, who spent the 2025 season competing with United Autosports, will make his return as one of the two mandatory Bronze-rated drivers in WRT’s LMGT3 squad.

The British racer is a two-time class winner in the LMGT3 category, with his first win coming during his first stint with WRT when he won the 6 Hours of Imola alongside Sean Gelael and Augusto Farfus.

The move back to WRT will also bring a return to BMW GT3 machinery in the world championship for Leung, although he also regularly represents the Munich manufacturer with his own Paradine Competition squad in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

As previously reported by Sportscar365, Anthony McIntosh will also move to join the Vincent Vosse-led squad in a likely partnership with Parker Thompson.

Both McIntosh and Thompson will make their team debuts and are expected to be joined by BMW factory driver Dan Harper, with that lineup also contesting the Asian Le Mans Series campaign that kicks off next week.

“It’s a great pleasure to have Darren back with us, and we are happy to welcome such an enthusiastic recruit as Anthony,” said team principal Vincent Vosse.

“I am sure that with this pool of drivers, and the ones still to be named, we can aim for great results.”

By signing Leung and McIntosh, WRT is set to significantly overhaul its LMGT3 lineup for the program’s third season. Yasser Shahin and Ahmad Al Harthy will both not return, with the former expected to rejoin Manthey’s LMGT3 stable instead.

The lineup reshuffle also means that Valentino Rossi is likely to depart WEC after two seasons of world championship competition.
