As revealed by Sportscar365 on Monday, Miguel Molina will make his FIA World Endurance Championship debut, having been confirmed in the Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GTE in the GTE-Am class.
The Audi DTM star will join Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castelacci in the AF Corse-run entry, in what will mark a full-time switch to sports car racing for the 28-year-old Spaniard.
Molina, who has also been confirmed for a full season of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with SMP Racing, was dropped from Audi’s DTM lineup this year, following a series-wide reduction to six cars per manufacturer.
While having already driven a Ferrari 488 GTE during a recent driver shootout for the remaining full-season seat in AF Corse’s GTE-Pro effort, Molina will get his first laps with the GTE-Am team later this week at the Prologue in Monza.
