OAK Racing confirmed Friday that it will field a Morgan-Judd LMP2 car in the FIA World Endurance Championship rounds at Shanghai and Bahrain in addition to its previously announced entry for Fuji.
The No. 35 car will contest the Six Hours of Fuji with Keiko Ihara, Alex Brundle and the team’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship pilot, Gustavo Yacaman.
Reigning Asian Le Mans Series champion David Cheng and countryman Ho-Pin Tung will headline the lineup for Shanghai and will be joined by Mark Patterson for the Chinese round.
Cheng and Patterson, meanwhile, will also contest the Bahrain round, with Ihara returning to the cockpit of the Judd-powered car for the penultimate round of the FIA WEC season.
“I’m delighted to welcome back drivers that we appreciate very much to our team as well as newcomer Mark Patterson,” team principal Jacques Nicolet said.
The OAK entry is in addition to the full-season G-Drive Racing Ligier JS P2 Nissan effort, which is also run by the French squad.
