Peugeot has revealed the driver crews for its pair of 9X8s in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year with new signing Nick Cassidy partnering Paul di Resta and Stoffel Vandoorne.
Peugeot had already confirmed the six drivers that would comprise its tweaked Hypercar lineup but had not detailed the exact combinations.
Formula E frontrunner Cassidy was announced in September as joining the manufacturer after moving to sister Stellantis brand Citroen for the electric single-seater series’ 2025-26 season.
The New Zealander has now been confirmed in the No. 93 9X8 alongside di Resta for his sports car return, while Vandoorne – who was originally tipped to join the nascent Genesis Magma Racing operation before instead remaining at Peugeot – moves across to complete that car’s lineup.
Loic Duval and Malthe Jakobsen will remain at the wheel of the No. 94 machine and will be joined by sports car sophomore Theo Pourchaire, who replaced Vandoorne at last year’s Bahrain season finale alongside this pair.
“Loïc and Paul are strong pillars of the team and will play a key role in anchoring each crew,” said Peugeot technical director Olivier Jansonnie.
“Both lineups offer an excellent balance, combining drivers who are particularly strong at race starts with others who excel in qualifying.
“This structure has been designed with a long-term perspective in mind, while providing the competitiveness and adaptability required to perform across all race conditions, which is essential given the level of competition in the FIA WEC.”
Peugeot had also previously revealed that Jean-Eric Vergne would step into a reserve driver role this season ahead of returning to its race roster in 2027, while stalwart Mikkel Jensen departed the team and is expected to be join McLaren for its new Hypercar program.
