Toyota will contest the Six Hours of Bahrain with a two-car entry, the Japanese manufacturer confirmed Thursday.
Both of the team’s Nos. 7 and 8 Toyota TS030 Hybrids were provisionally entered for the FIA World Endurance Championship season finale, on the condition that enough spares were available following last weekend’s Six Hours of Shanghai.
While the No. 8 car of Anthony Davidson, Stephane Sarrazin and Sebastien Buemi retired with suspension failure in the penultimate round of the championship, it was deemed to have not impacted their supply of parts.
Alex Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre, runner-ups in Japan, will be rejoined by Kaz Nakajima in the No. 7 machine in Bahrain, with the No. 8 lineup remaining unchanged.
