The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH has been spied testing at Silverstone ahead of a joint FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program in 2025.
Videos circulating on social media platforms TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) show the V12-powered Le Mans Hypercar running at the British circuit in a camouflage livery, which features logos from partner team Heart of Racing Team.
The Ian James-led squad will campaign the Valkyrie in the WEC and the WeatherTech Championship, with the British brand formally announcing a two-car effort for the world championship at last month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Images appear to show that the AMR-LMH, which is set to make its race debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, has undergone significant aerodynamic modifications compared to the Valkyrie AMR Pro track day car upon which it is based.
Notable is the presence of a larger rear wing, which looks to feature similar strakes as previously seen on the likes of the Glickenhaus 007 Pipo and the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh car.
Aston Martin’s head of endurance motorsport Adam Carter previously indicated that the LMH-spec Valkyrie was due to undergo a shakedown in the “very back end of the second quarter” before track testing was set to kick off in July.
The Valkyrie AMR-LMH will be Aston Martin’s first top-class car to race at Le Mans since its short-lived AMR One LMP1 program in 2011.
The British marque holds one overall victory at the French endurance classic, dating back to Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori’s 1959 triumph with the Aston Martin DBR1.
