Scott Tucker has provided an exclusive interview in the latest season of the “Dinner With Racers” podcast series, which was released on Tuesday.

Tucker, who owned the championship-winning Level 5 Motorsports organization, sat down with hosts Ryan Eversley and Sean Heckman in New York City last month, for a two-part interview discussing the team’s formation and success, as well as speaking about his business matters.

In the interview, the four-time American Le Mans Series champion revealed that lawsuits lodged by the FTC and other government organizations led to Level 5’s withdrawal from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship following its class victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2014.

While Level 5 continued to operate cars in Ferrari Challenge that year, the Madison, Wis.-based team, considered to have been one of the most successful of its time, has since ceased operations.

Tucker’s candid interview delves into what his long-term goals for Level 5 were, insight into the team’s much-hyped D Sports Racer project, which was chronicled by Jeff Braun in a previous episode, as well as legal battles with the government relating to his payday lending businesses.

Following the show’s recording in October, Tucker and his lawyer were found guilty on racketeering charges in federal court and is awaiting sentencing early next year.

The first 15 episodes of DWR Season 3 have been released, featuring interviews with Dario Franchitti, Mario Andretti and Robin Miller and others, with additional episodes to follow next month.
