Christian Engelhart claimed his first victory in DTM during the Sunday race at Oschersleben, leading a Porsche top-four lockout.

The No. 99 Toksport WRT Porsche 911 GT3 R finished 0.872 seconds ahead of the No. 9 sister car driven by Tim Heinemann as the German team celebrated a one-two finish.

The Manthey EMA pair of Thomas Preining and Dennis Olsen finished third and fourth, with Clemens Schmid rounding out the top five aboard the No. 63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

Engelhart profited from a late pitstop infringement penalty for Preining to move into the lead with under ten minutes remaining.

The Austrian led the race from pole position and looked set for a lights-to-flag victory after he fought off a challenge from Heinemann after the pitstops.

After Engelhart made his stop and emerged in second place ahead of Heinemann, Preining was ordered to go through the penalty zone not much later and dropped to third place.

The outcome marks Porsche’s most dominant performance since it joined the series, with its cars making up half of the top ten.

Mirko Bortolotti and Ricardo Feller finished sixth and seventh, with Jusuf Owega eighth for Mercedes-AMG Team BWT.

Laurin Heinrich crossed the line in ninth place aboard the No. 75 Team75 Porsche. Lucas Auer completed the top ten ahead of Sheldon van der Linde and Saturday winner Franck Perera.

The safety car made two appearances during the race. It was first triggered when Rene Rast spun his No. 33 Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 into the gravel when his right rear wheel detached.

It then came back out with under 30 minutes to go when Kelvin van der Linde’s No. 3 ABT Sportsline Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II suffered a drivetrain failure.

RESULTS: Race 2
