Kelvin van der Linde is set for his Macau debut, having been confirmed as part of Audi Sport customer racing’s four-car lineup for the FIA GT World Cup in November.
The newly crowned two-time ADAC GT Masters champion will drive an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo for Audi Sport Team Rutronik, the same team that took the South African to the title in the German-based GT3 series this year.
Fellow Audi factory driver Dries Vanthoor has been confirmed at Audi Sport Team WRT, which won the event in 2016 with his brother Laurens, while Christoper Haase will be at the wheel of an Audi entered by Phoenix Racing.
Former Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup class champion Chen Weian, meanwhile, completes Audi’s lineup in an entry from Audi Sport Asia Team TSRT.
Weian is one of several Silver-rated drivers expected to take part in the Nov. 15-17 event, following the creation of a Silver Cup classification for gentlemen drivers.
