Provisional Gulf 12H Entry List Released

The provisional entry list for next month’s fifth running of the Gulf 12 Hours has been released, with 22 cars set to take part in the around-the-clock enduro at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit.

The entry features 14 GT3 cars, plus a Renault RS01 car, which will battle for overall honors.

Defending race winners AF Corse will return with three Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 cars, alongside 2013 winners Black Falcon, where the German squad’s Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 cars are expected for a final outing prior to the team’s switch to the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 in 2016.

Kessel Racing, Dragon Racing FF Corse and Rinaldi Racing have also entered Ferraris, to be joined by an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 from Motorbase Performance and a MRS GT Racing Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

A total of five Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars will take part in the Cup class this year, while the popular Wolf GB08s from Avelon Formula return as well, with two of the CN cars having been entered.

Plans for Ginetta LMP3 cars to bolster the grid have not materialized.

The Gulf 12 Hours, which is split into two six-hour segments, is set for Dec. 11.
