Porsche-contracted driver Laurin Heinrich has described himself as “delighted” to contribute to AAS Motorsport’s triumph in the Thailand Super Series, as Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak wrapped up the drivers’ title in last weekend’s season finale at Buriram.
Inthraphuvasak and Heinrich shared driving duties in their No. 18 Porsche 911 GT3 R as the Thai driver, a two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans starter, saw off Singha Honda pair Piti Bhirombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri to wrap up the title.
Heinrich partnered Inthraphuvasak for four of this year’s five Thai Super Series rounds, only missing the penultimate round at Sepang, where Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected driver Dorian Boccolacci took his place due to a clash with his main commitments in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Victory in the opening race at Buriram for the No. 18 Porsche was followed by second place in the finale, as the AAS team had to contend with success penalties in both races.
It meant that Inthraphuvasak finished the season with podium finishes in nine of the ten races that made up the season.
“I’m delighted that Vutthikorn was able to clinch the overall Thailand Super Series drivers’ championship,” commented Heinrich. “It was always the goal when starting this program and we’ve managed to achieve this through consistent performances.
“The weekend felt like our most flawlessly executed round of the season, winning Race 1 despite the 15-second success penalty. It’s down to the hard work of the team throughout 2025 that this amazing result has happened.
“It was great to end the season on a high and thanks to AAS Motorsport by EBM and Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific for this opportunity.”
Inthraphuvasak added: “I’m proud to have secured the 2025 Thailand Super Series drivers’ crown! Thank you to everyone who played a part in this incredible success.
“It’s been an amazing year which wouldn’t have been possible without the AAS Motorsport by EBM crew, sponsors, Laurin and Dorian as well as Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific.
“This victory belongs to all of us and we’ll look to carry this momentum forward into our next challenge!”
