Aston Martin factory drivers Nicki Thiim, Mattia Drudi and Christian Krognes will again unite at the wheel of a Walkenhorst Motorsport-entered Vantage GT3 for this year’s Nürburgring 24.
The works trio partnered with David Pittard last year but their Walkenhorst Aston failed to finish the enduro and will now launch another attempt at taking a first N24 win for the British manufacturer.
They are part of a slimmed down two-car GT3 entry from Walkenhorst, which fielded three crews in the top class of the 2025 contest.
The team’s second SP9 Pro-Am entry will be crewed by Walkenhorst GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS racer Mateo Villagomez, 2023 N24 winner Felipe Fernandez Laser (when he won at the wheel of a Frikadelli Ferrari 296 GT3) and Dennis Fetzer, who returns to Walkenhorst and moves to an Aston having previously raced Ford, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Audi machinery in his native Germany.
Walkenhorst has also revealed it will tackle the majority of the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie campaign with Krognes at the wheel of a Vantage, although his team-mates have yet to be confirmed.
