2016 Nürburgring 24 winner Adam Christodoulou will pull double duty at the 52nd edition of the event as a late addition to the lineup for the No. 130 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed entry.
Announced on Tuesday, the British driver will join Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Fabian Schiller for the Eifel endurance classic to move to a four-man lineup for the German squad.
Christodoulou and fellow Mercedes-AMG factory driver Engel were notably part of the last winning lineup for the German brand, taking victory for Black Falcon in 2016.
As a result of the late lineup change, Christodoulou will be pulling double duty at the N24 as he was already set to drive GetSpeed’s second car.
There, he will share driving duties with Lucas Auer, Philip Ellis and Mikael Grenier behind the wheel of the No. 8 Mercedes-AMG.
Mercedes-AMG is looking to bring an end to an eight-year winless streak at the event, having gone winless ever since Black Falcon’s 2016 triumph.
It finished on the podium in each of the last three editions, as Ellis, Raffaele Marciello and Luca Stolz took third for Mercedes-AMG Team Bilstein last year.
