SUPER GT outfit Kondo Racing has confirmed plans to tackle the Nürburgring 24 for a second season in a row with an updated Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
Last year, the Nissan-affiliated team made its first appearance in the German endurance classic since 2019 with a Yokohama-shod 296 GT3 adorned in the colors of its regular SUPER GT sponsor Realize and run by Rinaldi Racing.
Now the squad has confirmed it will be back for a second attempt, continuing its partnership with Rinaldi, with a revised driver lineup comprising factory Ferrari pilot Thomas Neubauer, David Perel, Dennis Marschall and Thierry Vermeulen.
Neubauer and Perel both drove for the team in the N24 last year along with Axcil Jefferies and Felipe Fernandez Laser, the quartet failing to finish after qualifying second.
Team owner Masahiko Kondo commented: “I’m extremely happy that we can participate in the Nürburgring 24 in 2026, continuing from last year.
“This challenge is only possible because of the support we have from Realize Corporation, Yokohama Tire and many other partner companies. I want to express my most heartfelt thanks.
“In last year’s Nurburgring 24, we ended up with a disappointing result despite being in the fight for the top positions until late in the race, but we will come together as a team as we target becoming the first Japanese team to score an overall victory.
“We hope you look forward to Kondo Racing’s challenge and give us your warm support.”
In addition to the N24, the Kondo Ferrari is also set to contest a limited program of NLS events, beginning with NLS1 this weekend.
