Patrick Pilet has been added to the lineup for both the No. 16 Scherer Sport PHX and No. 911 Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 Rs for this weekend’s Nürburgring 24.
An updated entry list for the event published by ADAC Nordrhein on Thursday shows the Frenchman added to the lineup for both cars.
A Scherer Sport PHX spokesperson told Sportscar365 that the Frenchman’s addition to the two lineups allows him to serve as a reserve driver for both cars.
Pilet claimed his first and only N24 victory with Manthey in 2018, with the lineup for that car consisting of Kevin Estre, Ayhancan Guven and Thomas Preining.
The No. 16 Scherer Porsche, meanwhile, is set to be driven by Ricardo Feller, Laurens Vanthoor and Patric Niederhauser.
Pilet competed in last week’s 24 Hours of Le Mans in an RLR M Sport Oreca 07 Gibson.
Another change in the SP9 field has seen reigning N24 winner Frank Stippler removed from the lineup for the No. 8 JUTA Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in favor of Pierre Kaffer.
Stippler was originally set for double duty across two different teams as he has also been entered into No. 64 HRT Ford Performance Mustang GT3 alongside Dennis Olsen, Arjun Maini and Jusuf Owega.
