Martin Ragginger set the quickest time in the warmup session for the Nürburgring 24, leading his Falken Motorsports teammate Sven Mueller and Manthey EMA’s Kevin Estre in a Porsche 1-2-3.

The Austrian driver posted a lap of 8:16.647 aboard the No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 R, going 0.169 seconds clear of the No. 33 sister car driven by Mueller.

Estre slotted into third in the No. 911 Porsche a mere 0.062 seconds back, with Audi drivers Christopher Haase and Frederic Vervisch fourth and fifth.

Both the Porsche 911 GT3 R and Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II received Balance of Performance updates on Saturday morning, with the two cars receiving a 15 and 10 kg weight reduction, respectively. The Porsche had been given a 20 kg increase earlier in the event.

A late lap from Andy Soucek saw the No. 101 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 finish the session in sixth, ahead of the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo driven by Daniel Juncadella.

Kim Luis Schramm and Dennis Olsen occupied eighth and ninth, with the top ten completed by the No. 2 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG in the hands of Adam Christodoulou.

The No. 102 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW returned to the track during the 45-minute session, having been repaired following Christian Krognes’s crash in Top Qualifying 1.

The car set a lap of 8:26.664 in the hands of Jens Klingmann, which placed it 14th overall.

The session was completed without any incidents for top-category cars, although the No. 170 Black Falcon Team Identica Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of Mustafa Mehmet Kaya stopped on the Nordschleife.

The 51st running of the Nürburgring 24 kicks off at 4:00 p.m. local time (10 a.m. ET).
