While plans have yet to be announced, Sebastien Loeb Racing will again be present in several championships in 2014.
The Sebastien Loeb and Dominique Heintz-led operation is expected to return to the European Le Mans Series in LMP2 after a one-year absence. An entry request for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, however, will only be made if they finalize the driver lineup before the Jan. 30 deadline.
The French squad recently tested a number of drivers in its Oreca 03 Nissan at Navarra, including Olivier Lombard, Andreas Zuber, Niki Mayr-Melnhof, Kevin Estre and Sacha Bottemanne.
Discussions are underway with some of the drivers as the team looks to finalize its lineup.
On the GT side, Sebastien Loeb will not return to the wheel due to his commitments in the WTCC, but the team is poised to continue in GT3 with a to-be-confirmed chassis. It’s expected the cars will be run in both the ELMS and the French GT Tour championship.
A multi-car program in the Porsche Carrera Cup France should also not be forgotten, with between four to six new 991-based GT3 Cup cars present.
