Wall Racing will return to the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS grid this season with a familiar lineup of Tony D’Alberto and Adrian Deitz at the wheel of its Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, starting this month at Phillip Island.

The Pro-Am duo contested four of last year’s six rounds in the distinctive red-and-white No. 93 entry, scoring a best finish of ninth on no fewer than four occasions, with team owner David Wall subbing for D’Alberto at Queensland.

Now D’Alberto and Deitz are confirmed to be continuing a partnership that dates back to 2019, having been boosted by a strong showing in last month’s Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, where factory Lamborghini driver Marco Mapelli joined the squad.

Mapelli, D’Alberto, Deitz and Grant Denyer finished the Intercontinental GT Challenge season opener fifth in the Bronze class and 15th overall.

“It’s always great to continue the relationship with a familiar team in Wall Racing, and Adrian and I have been driving together for many years now,” said D’Alberto.

“As a group we’re getting stronger and stronger, and the Bathurst 12 Hour showed that with the speed we had in the car.  The result there has given everyone a lot of confidence heading into Phillip Island.

“We’re hopeful we can be competitive because the pace we showed proved the car is capable of running at the front if we get things right.

“We also had some great support from Lamborghini, and having Marco Mapelli involved at Bathurst was a big help. He drives these cars all the time and was able to focus on some key areas to help us unlock more pace.

“That confidence runs through the whole team – the engineers, the mechanics, everyone involved – because we know the Lamborghini is capable of mixing it with the front of the field.

“There’s some really tough competition and strong driver combinations out there, but on our day there’s no reason why we can’t be right in the fight.”

Deitz added: “We spent a lot of time in the middle of 2025 trying to understand how the European teams run their Huracans.  As a result, we made some big changes in the way we ran our car in the second half of 2025.

“After working with Marco Mapelli and one of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s senior engineers at Bathurst, that validated the direction we have taken and I have a lot more confidence behind the wheel.

“That weekend in Bathurst showed that the package is capable of being competitive, and it gave everyone in the team a lot of confidence in what the car can do when we put everything together.”

The new GTWC Australia season begins at Phillip Island on March 27-29.
