Tigani Motorsport has confirmed its final driver lineup for the upcoming GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season, as Mercedes-AMG driver Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti remain a pairing for a third consecutive year.
Ojeda and Lucchitti will be aiming to improve on the third place overall they scored in 2025, when they took a sole victory at The Bend as well as a further four podium finishes, aboard their No. 66 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
The announcement completes Tigani’s expanded five-car lineup, and follows the news that team newcomers Oscar Targett and Shane Smollen will pair up in the No. 56 car.
Ojeda’s continued presence at Tigani comes on top of his new full-time Australian Supercars commitments for PremiAir Racing.
“It’s been a lot of fun driving with Paul and the team the last two years, so I am looking forward to furthering that relationship in 2026 and hopefully we can go a couple better than the third we got in the championship in 2025,” commented Ojeda.
“It’s been awesome to watch Paul’s journey in his short career and feel a part of his progression, and watch how he has developed as a driver. I’m looking forward to seeing more of that this year.
“And for me it’s awesome to race at home together with Mercedes-AMG and further extend my relationship with them. It’s a very busy calendar for me with Supercars as well, and I am looking forward to racing most weeks from hereon out.
“It’s been awesome as well to see Tigani Motorsport grow into the team it is now, in our first Performance entry in Mercedes-AMG in the Bathurst 12 Hour and picking up the parts business as well in Australia is an awesome achievement.
“Knowing Nathan [Tigani, team owner] from go-karting, when he was racing as well, and to see what he has grown as an enterprise has been really incredible, so I’m looking forward to seeing the next step for the team as well.”
The 2026 GTWC Australia season begins at Phillip Island on March 27-29.
