Martin Fuentes will race as a Silver-rated driver for the remainder of the Blancpain GT World Challenge America season, having been upgraded from Bronze* status by SRO Motorsports America.

The Mexican driver, who has already clinched the GT3 Am Cup title, is competing in the Pro-Am class this weekend at Road America, alongside Mark Issa in the No. 7 Squadra Corse Garage Italia Ferrari 488 GT3.

The TR3 Racing-prepared Ferrari is now one of nine cars in the Pro-Am class.

Fuentes had been competing as a Bronze-rated driver by SRO America this season, under the star system that allows the organization to adjust ratings at its own discretion.

It marks the second noteworthy change in driver ratings mid-season by SRO America, following Jarett Andretti’s promotion to Silver prior to the Sonoma Raceway round in Pirelli GT4 America.
