Maro Engel will join Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon for the full Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, replacing Adam Christodoulou in the team’s Pro lineup.

He joins Yelmer Buurman and Luca Stolz in the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the five-round Endurance Cup.

The German team will run a total of three Mercedes GT3s in the series with each car competing in different categories.

Kriton Lendoudis, Saud Turki Al Faisal and Rui Aguas will share the No. 5 car in the Pro-Am Cup while Hubert Haupt, Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal and Gabriele Piana will drive the No. 6 car in the new Silver Cup.

Piana is new to the team and moves to Blancpain GT after several years racing Porsches at the Nürburgring, and he finished second in both Pirelli World Challenge GTS races at St. Pete earlier this month.

Black Falcon joins AKKA ASP, Strakka Racing and Ram Racing as one of four teams using Mercedes in the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup, with a total of 11 cars on the grid.
