The Blancpain GT Series championship-leading Grasser Racing team has had its hopes of winning the Total 24 Hours of Spa crushed, as Christian Engelhart crashed out at Pif-Paf, bringing out the Full Course Yellow.
Engelhart appeared to lock-up on the entry to Pif-Paf, sending the No. 63 Lamborghini careering into the tire barrier after running in eighth position.
The car was retrieved from the barrier swiftly and the German driver is unharmed.
Mirko Bortolotti started the car from second position and led early on in the race.
The field currently runs behind the safety car with a little over seven-and-a-half hours on the clock.
Raffaele Marciello is out front after taking over the No. 90 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 soon after the two-thirds point, while Rene Rast is second in the No. 1 Audi Sport Team WRT entry.
