Strakka Racing has taken the wraps off its fan-designed art car for this weekend’s Total 24 Hours of Spa, which features a striking two-tone livery.
The British team opened up a competition on its social media accounts for fans to submit livery designs for the No. 58 McLaren 650S GT3 which will be piloted by Come Ledogar, Ben Barnicoat and Rob Bell in the Belgian endurance classic.
The winning entry came from Jorrit van Dasselaar from The Netherlands and is orange on the left-hand-side of the car while the right-hand-side features reflective vinyl to show up in the nighttime hours of running.
The orange color was chosen as a nod to McLaren’s heritage while the darker colors on the other side of the car along hint at the brand’s future.
This is accentuated by the hashtags “#TheFuture” and “#ThePast” on each of the car’s door mirrors.
