A total of 28 cars are set for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America round at Virginia International Raceway, with the series returning to race action following the early summer break.

The entry list for Rounds 6 and 7 of the season features a largely unchanged grid since the most recent outing at Circuit of The Americas, which served as the series’ first-ever three-hour endurance race.

GT4 America is back to its traditional dual 60-minute race format this weekend, however, which will see COTA winners Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm, of Random Vandals Racing, look to consolidate their Silver class points lead.

Koch and Boehm enter VIR with a slim five-point advantage over the RS1 duo of John Capestro-Dubets and Eric Filgueiras. with AutoTechnic’s Colin Garett and Zac Anderson a further 21 points behind in third, and Hanley Motorsports’ Parker Thompson and Daniel Hanley in fourth.

While having started the season in the Am class before being promoted to Pro-Am, Heart of Racing Team’s Hannah Grisham and Hannah Greenemeier will now compete in the Silver class, as a result of the team’s policy of not having its own cars compete against each other.

The duo, in the No. 26 Aston Martin Vantage GT4, only made their Pro-Am debut last time out at COTA after Grisham was bumped up.

RS1’s Austin and Roland Krainz, who withdrew from COTA after being moved to Pro-Am, are currently listed to take part this weekend in the class.

Pro-Am, which is led by the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Kay van Berlo and Curt Swearingin, sees several new or adjusted driver lineups.

It includes Mark Brummond and Mike Skeen taking over driving duties for the No. 53 AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4, while the father-son duo Lucas and Joseph Catania, who previously competed in the TC America powered by Skip Barber, will step into GT4 machinery in the No. 33 Rigid Speed BMW.

Additionally, Toyota GR Cup graduate Alexandra Hainer will team up with Ryan Eversley in the No. 07 Precision LA Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.

Rodrigo Baptisa, meanwhile, will remain in the No. 5 Flying Lizard Motorsports Nissan Z GT4 NISMO alongside Damir Hot, following his series return last tine out at COTA.

Random Vandals’ Kris Wilson and Paul Sparta hold a commanding lead in the Am class, as a result of the No. 26 Heart of Racing entry’s previous class change, with the Vandals’ nearest competitor being the Carrus Callas Raceteam BMW of Nick Shanny, who will again be joined by Chris Walsh this weekend.

GT4 America competitors will have two available test sessions on Thursday prior to the start of official track action on Friday and qualifying on Saturday morning.

Both races (Sat., 5 p.m. EDT) and (Sunday, 10:55 a.m.) will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
