RENNtech Motorsports will tackle both Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS this year with a Mercedes-AMG GT4 entry headlined by SRO America rookie Ross Chouest.

Chouest, a former Ferrari Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competitor, will team up with longtime driver coach Aaron Povoledo in the No. 89 entry for GT4 America competition while drive solo in the new-for-2021 GT America series, which is open to GT2, GT3 and GT4 machinery.

“I am definitely excited about this next step,” Chouest said. “I learned a lot from the single make series, and I am ready for the challenge of multi class racing and mixing it up with both amateurs and pros.

“Being able to do four races per event is a huge plus for me and I know that the wheel-to-wheel racing will help me grow even more as a driver.”

Povoledo added: “I’ve had so many great experiences racing in SRO over the years that this feels like a real homecoming for me.

“I know the Mercedes platform really well from my years working with the GT3 version, so I know we will have a strong all around car underneath us.

“I see the level of passion and commitment team owner Hartmut Feyhl and team manager Sascha Kempter have for this Team and it permeates through the crew as well.

“They deeply care about winning and that makes me want to put even more of my heart and soul into it.”

In addition to his driving duties, Povoledo will also be working with the Florida-based team on a series of track day programs.
