All-Inkl Munnich Motorsport Joins Grid at Slovakia Ring

After the summer break the Blancpain Sprint Series will be back in action at the Slovakia Ring this weekend for round four of the 2014 season.

HTP Motorsport drivers Maximilian Buhk and Maximilian Götz head to Slovakia with an eight-point lead over Grasser Racing Team drivers Jeroen Bleekemolen and Hari Proczyk.

A total of 23 cars have been entered for the race on the 3.68-mile circuit, located near Bratislava.

Among the entires are 2012 FIA GT1 World Champions All-Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport, making its debut in the Blancpain Sprint Series.

Team owner René Münnich is set to race the team’s Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, which has been entered in the Pro-Am Trophy. One of Münnich’s rivals in the class will be Marc Basseng, who was part of the championship winning team in 2012.

As Sportscar365 revealed last week, HTP Motorsport will enter a third Mercedes for German youngsters Lucas Wolf and Luca Stolz. The No. 86 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 has been entered in the Silver Cup for drivers under 25 years of age.

Alex Zanardi, meanwhile, will return to the series, having missed the Zandvoort round due to a handbike competition. The second Fortec Motorsports Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 has also been entered, but it is unlikely to compete in Slovakia.

Action starts on Friday, with a Free Practice at 9.30 am local time. Qualifying will start at 10 am on Saturday, followed by the Qualifying Race at 2:45 pm. Sunday’s Main Race gets underway at 12:40 pm.
