ANSA Motorsports has confirmed plans to enter up to three KTM X-Bow GT4s in the inaugural California 8 Hours at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in October.

The Pirelli World Challenge stalwarts have yet to announce drivers for the Intercontinental GT Challenge round, which will be organized and promoted by SRO Motorsports Group as part of the championship’s expanded 2017 schedule.

“ANSA Motorsports has outstanding turnkey opportunities available to drivers from around the world to compete in one of our KTM X-Bow GT4 winning cars,” team owner Alain Nadal said.

“Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is one of the most iconic racetracks on the planet, and drivers have a chance to join our winning team and race in the greatest GT race ever organized in North America, within a very affordable budget.”

The Florida-based team won the PWC GTS Drivers’ Championship last year with Brett Sandberg and already has wins this year with Nico Jamin at the wheel.

ANSA is the first GT4 team to commit to the race, which will also be open to GT3 and GT Cup machinery.

SRO M0torsports Group CEO Stephane Ratel told Sportscar365 that he expects a grid in the low-30s for the race, including the likelihood of a few European entries.
