A field of 34 cars is set to contest the fourth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season at the Nürburgring, where Enzo Geraci and Josef Knopp will defend a 12-point lead in the overall championship standings.

Thanks in part to victories at Paul Ricard and Monza, the No. 36 Oregon Team Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 sit out front in the standings heading into the second half of the season, which kicks off this weekend as the series forms part of the support bill for the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup round at the Eifel circuit.

Notably, the second-placed No. 6 Vincenzo Sospiri Racing Lamborghini will have a revised driver lineup as Adam Putera is joined by Riccardo Ianniello. The Italian replaces Paul Levet.

Jerzy Spinkiewicz, Anthony Pretorius and Silas Rytter all return after picking up their maiden series wins at Spa-Francorchamps.

Meanwhile, Belgian racer Kai Rillaerts is set to have a new co-driver this weekend, as reigning series champion Amaury Bonduel is not expected to return after a one-off outing at Spa that ended prematurely after a crash in Race 1.

Rillaerts’ team-mate aboard the No. 57 BDR Competition Lamborghini remains yet to be confirmed, with a similar situation at Leipert Motorsport as Pablo Schumm’s co-driver in the No. 88 car has also not yet been named.

In the Pro-Am category, Georgi Dimitroc and Stephan Guerin look to carry on their strong season form, with five wins out of six races giving them a 38-point lead.

Notably, former series regulars Bronislav Formanek and Stefan Rosina make their return aboard the No. 11 Micanek Motorsport Lamborghini, having predominantly competed in GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli so far this season.

Another new entry comes in the Am category, where the all-Japanese pairing of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Mineki Okura team up aboard the No. 76 Rexal Villorba Corse machine.

Hamaguchi is best known for his exploits in GT3 racing, notably winning last year’s European Le Mans Series LMGT3 title with Iron Lynx.

In previous years, he has also competed in GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS with Okura as his co-driver, racing in both Audi and Lamborghini machinery.

Piergiacomo Randazzo and Stephane Tribaudini lead the Am-class standings with a margin of 13 points over Massimo Ciglia and Pietro Perolini.

In LB Cup, meanwhile, Karim Ojjeh sits just a single point clear of Holger Harmsen as eight points separate the top six in the standings.

Race 1 will take place on Saturday at 1:25 p.m. CEST (7:25 a.m. EST), while the second and final race is scheduled for Sunday at 10:30 a.m. CEST (4:30 a.m. EST).

Both races will be streamed live on the Lamborghini Squadra Corse YouTube channel.
