Reigning Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe champion Amaury Bonduel will make a one-off return to the championship to join the grid for the pair of races as part of the support bill at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

The Belgian will partner up with compatriot Kai Rillaerts aboard the No. 57 Belgian Racing Club Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, which is operated by the same BDR Competition squad that took him to championship success last year.

Notably, Bonduel swept both of last year’s races at Spa-Francorchamps en route to the title, although that came as part of the support bill for the FIA World Endurance Championship.

This year, Lamborghini’s European single-make series retakes its spot as part of the package for the 24H Spa, returning after a one-year absence.

In total, 33 cars have been entered for the pair of races as Enzo Geraci and Josef Knopp defend a 17-point lead in the Pro category.

The Oregon Team pairing leads ahead of Target Racing duo Patrik Fraboni and Giacomo Pedrini, with the solo-driven No. 25 Uniq Racing Lamborghini of Jerzy Spinkiewicz in third place.

Meanwhile in Pro-Am, Georgi Dimitrov and Stephan Guerin took to continue their strong start to the season, having taken overall victories at both Paul Ricard at Monza.

As a result, the No. 13 CMR Lamborghini leads the standings in class by 22 points over the BDR Competition duo of Dimitri Enjalbert and Anthony Nahra.

Piergiacomo Randazzo and Stephane Tribaudini have had a similarly positive run of momentum early in the season with three Am class wins from four races in the No. 66 Vincenzo Sospiri Racing.

Although their lead over second-placed Adrian Lewandowski is a mere three points, Lewandowski will not be competing this weekend.

In LB Cup, Claude-Yves Gosselin similarly defends a three-point margin over his Rexal Villorba Corse stablemate Karim Ojjeh.

The first of two races this weekend will take place on Friday at 5:55 p.m. CEST (11:55 a.m. EST), followed by a second race on Saturday at 1:40 p.m. CEST (7:40 a.m. EST).
