Ratel Competing in Blancpain GT Sports Club

Stephane Ratel has made a surprise appearance in the Blancpain GT Sports Club finale at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend.

The SRO Motorsports Group Founder and CEO is driving the Bentley Continental GT3 that was campaigned by Andy Soucek, Maxime Soulet and Vince Abril in the series last year.

He is being coached by Belgian GT and touring car driver Sam Dejonghe with the car, which is now owned by Ratel, run by Team Parker Racing.

It is Ratel’s first appearance in the series since 2015, when he drove an Aston Martin DBRS9 at the Barcelona and Circuit Paul Ricard rounds. 

This weekend’s Sports Club races are the last of the year, although Karim Ojjeh already claimed the championship in the previous round at the Hungaroring.
