In building for the future, EFFORT Racing in collaboration with Porsche Motor Sport North America have taken an opportunity to work with factory supported driver Nick Tandy. The decision has been taken to strategically develop the Porsche GT3 R on the famous street course of Toronto, and to continue building its alliance with the Porsche marque.
Ricki Martino, crew chief said: “One thing the fans may or may not be aware of, the FIA-spec GT3 cars in Europe use a completely different tire package, and with the various street courses we compete on in the US compared to Europe, the street courses present their own challenges compared to the typical European road courses.
“This makes it necessary for EFFORT Racing and Porsche Motor Sport to further develop and understand the differences in the handling characteristics. We look forward to working with Nick and adding to our highly professional team of drivers.”
Tandy fills in for Tim Bergmeister in the team’s No. 31 entry during the weekend.
The EFFORT Racing crew has been working hard in the preparation of the No. 41 car driven by Michael Mills. After a tough Road America weekend, the whole team is looking forward to collecting valuable points and regaining the GT-A drivers’ championship lead.
