Kohlbecker Quickest in First Practice at The Brickyard

Spike Kohlbecker led the way in the first Toyota GR Cup North America practice session of the season-ending weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate driver reeled off a best lap of 1:39.740 in the 30-minute session to edge out Jeremy Fletcher by 0.074 seconds.

Jaxon Bell, who is in a three-way fight for second in the championship, was third quickest in his No. 7 Copeland Motorsports entry.

Kohlbecker’s teammate, Will Robusto, was fourth on the time charts with champion-elect Westin Workman completing the top-five for BSI Racing.

The session ran without any major incidents or red flags.

Practice 2 is on tap for Friday at 8:05 a.m. EST, followed by the first qualifying session of the weekend at 12:35 p.m.
