Next year’s Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar has been finalized following confirmation of the Suzuka 1000km weekend and a small but significant change to the Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS date.
The globe-trotting GT3 series will return to Japan for the first time since 2019 on Sept. 12-14 before heading Stateside for its and the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season finale one month later on Oct. 16-19.
Per tradition, the GT3 endurance race takes place on Saturday before SRO America’s other series stage the majority of its races on Sunday.
The 8 Hour is two weeks later than previously announced in order to provide teams and manufacturers additional time to sea freight cars and equipment from Japan to the U.S..
The date change also puts the Indy race one week after the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, increasing the potential for more North American entries to join.
The remainder of the 2025 IGTC calendar remains unchanged from its initial announcement at Spa-Francorchamps in June, with Mount Panorama kicking off the season on Feb. 2, followed by back-to-back 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Spa in June.
2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge Schedule:
Jan. 31-Feb. 2 — Bathurst 12 Hour

June 26-29 — CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
