Giacomo Altoe put Lamborghini atop the time charts in the second and final practice for Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competitors ahead of qualifying for this weekend’s rounds at Circuit of The Americas.

The Italian took his No. 9 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo to a best lap of 2:06.130 in Friday’s 45-minute afternoon session, which was delayed by more than an hour due to a weather hold earlier in the day.

Altoe’s lap was nearly two-tenths slower than Jan Heylen’s 2:05.941 time in the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R set in the morning that stood as quickest of the day.

Colin Braun wound up second quickest in Practice 2 in his No. 04 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, followed by the No. 3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini, which rebounded from a challenging FP1 to pace the Pro class in the afternoon.

The No. 63 DXDT Mercedes of Ryan Dalziel was fourth overall and third quickest of the Pro-Am competitors, meanwhile.

AF Corse’s Am class Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 completed the top-five overall ahead of the sister No. 6 K-PAX Lamborghini in sixth and the No. 33 Winward Racing Mercedes.

No major incidents were reported over the course of the day.

Qualifying is set to get underway on Saturday at 8:50 a.m. CT followed by the first 90-minute race of the weekend at 1:15 p.m.
