Earl Bamber Motorsport has revealed its driver line-up for the Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS, comprising Brendon Leitch, Bastian Buus and Adrian D’Silva.
The trio will pilot the No. 61 Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Intercontinental GT Challenge finale on Oct. 4-6 in the Pro-Am class, which requires the use of at least one Bronze-rated driver and one Silver, or two Bronzes.
Malaysian racer D’Silva fulfills the Bronze mandate, having also contested the 2023/24 Asian Le Mans Series with EBM, with both he and Silver-rated Leitch also appearing in the team’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa lineup this year.
Last year’s Porsche Supercup champion Buus was also part of the EBM line-up in the Asian Le Mans Series, and has raced for fellow Porsche teams Phantom Global Racing and Dinamic GT in previous IGTC rounds this year.
New Zealander Leitch will be making his second start at Indianapolis after taking part in last weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event at The Brickyard for another Porsche outfit, MDK Motorsports.
“I’m stoked that Earl has invited me back to the team for Indianapolis. It was really disappointing not to feature at Spa and I know between myself and Adrian we’ve definitely got some unfinished business,” said Leitch.
“For me personally, there is no reason why I shouldn’t be at the top of my game having only just raced at Indy in IMSA. I know I had a lot left in me. It will be good to go back after just a couple of weeks. It’ll be like I never left!”
EBM is one of five teams in Pro-Am fielding Porsche machinery, with Wright Motorsports the Stuttgart marque’s only customer in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Pro category following its decision to forego sending factory-supported teams to the IGTC decider.
